Silk Balance is a medium-warmth silk duvet designed for comfortable use throughout most of the year. With approximately 320 g/m² of natural silk filling, it provides reassuring warmth on cooler nights while retaining two of silk’s most valued qualities – breathability and effective moisture management.

Long-Strand Mulberry Silk Filling

The duvet is filled with natural long-strand silk produced by cultivated Bombyx mori silkworms, widely known as Mulberry silk.

The filling is made using a traditional technique. Prepared silk cocoons are carefully stretched by hand to the full size of the duvet. Fine layers of silk are then placed one over another until the required filling weight is achieved.

This method preserves the long silk fibres, allowing them to intertwine like a fine web and form a continuous, lofty layer inside the duvet. Countless small air pockets within this structure help retain warmth efficiently while keeping the duvet light and comfortable.

Lightweight comfort. The long-strand silk filling is exceptionally light and gently follows the contours of the body without creating unnecessary weight while you sleep.

Who Is the Silk Balance Duvet For?

Silk Balance is designed for sleepers who want something between a very light summer duvet and a particularly warm winter duvet.

With approximately 320 g/m² of silk filling, it provides a level of warmth comparable to a medium-warm 9 Tog goose down duvet. Depending on your individual warmth preferences and bedroom conditions, Silk Balance can be used throughout most of the year.

As a general guide, it is suitable for bedroom temperatures of approximately 14–26°C.

A Natural Choice for Sensitive Sleepers

Natural silk duvets retain warmth effectively without easily causing the body to overheat. Silk's breathability and ability to absorb and release moisture help create a comfortable and hygienic sleeping environment.

The dry, breathable environment provided by silk is also unfavourable to dust mites, whose allergens are a common trigger of allergic reactions. For people sensitive or allergic to dust mites, a silk duvet can therefore be an excellent choice.

How to Care for Your Silk Duvet

For regular care, we recommend airing your silk duvet periodically. Air it in a dry, shaded place and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
