At Silktime, you will find high-quality natural Mulberry silk fabrics, ideal for making silk bedding. Our silk fabrics are substantial and extra wide – up to 280 cm – allowing you to make wide silk sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases while avoiding unnecessary seams in larger pieces.

Our selection also includes 25–26 momme silk fabrics woven in Germany, where these exceptional textiles have been produced for almost a century. The collection features premium silk jacquards and silk satins (charmeuse). These fabrics are not limited to silk bedding – they are also suitable for nightwear, clothing and a variety of other textile projects.

Benefits of silk fabrics

  • 100% natural Mulberry silk. Silk is a natural protein fibre whose main structural protein is fibroin.

  • Extra wide – up to 280 cm. This generous width is particularly convenient for making silk bedding and helps avoid additional seams in important areas of larger pieces.

  • Substantial Mulberry silk fabric weight – 25–30 momme (~104–124 g/m²). Fabrics of this weight are ideal for making premium-quality, comfortable silk duvet covers, pillowcases and silk sheets.

  • Exceptionally soft, hygienic and elegant. The remarkably smooth surface feels wonderful to the touch, while the natural lustre of silk and the interplay of woven patterns create an atmosphere of refined luxury in the home.

  • Comfortable throughout the year. Natural silk is breathable and helps maintain a comfortable balance of warmth and moisture.

  • Not just for bedding. Silk satin, charmeuse and jacquard fabrics are also excellent for nightwear, clothing and other individual sewing projects.
