Winter mulberry silk duvet with ultra long-strand silk fibres
Handmade silk duvet filled with carefully stretched, highest-grade 100% mulberry silk cocoons. The thermal insulation of the duvet is 13 Tog, meaning it will keep you warm and comfortable even in the coldest unheated room during the winter season. On the other hand, thanks to the unique thermal resistance of silk, it won't be too hot under this duvet even in the warm season.
Stuffing and filling weight: Highest grade 100% mulberry silk cocoons, carefully stretched by hands. Filling weight 500g/m2.
Cover: 100% cotton jacquard (300TC).

In our shop you can find duvets of various sizes and thickness filled with mulberry silk stuffing. The stuffing is handmade by stretching silk and layering several layers. Silk bedding is a wise choice because:
- Silk is 100% natural and hypoallergenic – dust mites, which lead to allergies, do not breed in this material.
- Silk is extremely light. This property is important for people suffering from circulation issues or arthritis, when the weight of bedding can cause discomfort.
- Silk wraps perfectly around the body. Silk makes a person feel cosy and safe.
- Due to its unique thermal properties, silk is warm and cozy in winter and comfortably cool in summer.
- Silk is extraordinarily strong. A fibre of silk is stronger than a fibre of steel of the same width. What is more, long silk floss tends to adhere to one another, therefore even after years of use, other than some yellowing of the silk floss due to oxidation, silk bedding will not become brittle, but will stay soft and fluffy.
- Silk “breathes” – because of porous fibres, silk can absorb a lot of moisture, quickly release the excess and stay dry.
- Silk is easy to take care of. Simply air silk beddings on a sunny day in the shade, 2-3 times per year. Care of silk bedding.
- Silk is nearly inflammable – this is particularly important for children’s bedding.
