Light Silktime Hungarian white goose down comforters designed for the best comfort, luxurious appearance, and long lifetime – they will keep you comfortable in any season of the year.
The baffled box design prevents down shifting. The box walls allow goose down to reach its maximum loft potential - the quilting pattern of the comforter is not sewn through. Instead, internal walls of fabric (or "baffle") create pockets which allow the down to expand to its fullest potential for the highest loft with no cold area. This is one of the hallmarks of a superior product.
The duvet is filled with hand-harvested, 750+ fill power (Fp) Hungarian white goose down. The tick is sewn from high quality cotton fabric, which is light weight and able to expand incredible high fluffy looking.
Edges are double stitched with cotton cording – the extra strength threads used guarantee the longer use compared to the conventional products.
There is simply no better down comforter on the market.

ORIGIN OF GOOSE DOWN
Hungary is one of the few places remaining in Europe where geese are still widely raised in the countryside. Geese farming has a long tradition in Hungary, and the industries associated with goose and down products are sophisticated and regulated. The Hungarian down used is certified by a respected veterinary institute as well as by the National Hygiene Board. They do not use "live-plucked" feathers nor any painful process to harvest down. They neither cause injury to geese nor acquire down by means of industrial farming.
All comforters and pillows are filled with new, 100% Hungarian white goose down. Unlike other products of the same category, there is no "feather share", inferior fill, duck or refurbished down.
Fill power is an important quality measurement when it comes to down products. To test the filling power, one ounce of down is compressed with a pre-determined weight. When the weight is removed, the down expands and the volume of space it occupies is measured in cubic inches - this number is listed as Fp. The higher the fill power is, the better/stronger the down material is, the more air the down will trap, resulting in a warmer product which will allow for a comfortable sleep. Our down comforters are filled with large-cluster selected white goose down with a fill power rating of 750-800. That gives our products one of the industry's highest quality hallmarks.

How to check the origin of down?
Today, only fewer farms are able to produce raw materials. Many companies advertise their product as Hungarian goose down-filled but, due to inability to provide such quantity of raw materials, they use mixes of low quality raw materials which in many cases are bleached and brightened duck down.
Here are the few main features that the product is fake and not of 100% Hungarian goose down:
- the product looks flat,
- advertised as 650 fill power (Fp) or above 800 fill power (Fp),
- too white and going to flat after few months (most common down is fragmenting due to whitening),
- too many brown and grey down filled in the product,
- strong odor.

- All tick are sewn from pure cotton, all feathers and down are cleaned following the stringent requirements of German standards.
